Enabling cursor_overlay makes the indicator respect the attributes of the item below it. For example, you have made the status bar show the mailboxes with new emails, in bold, and your index to show the new emails in reverse. Having set cursor_overlay = yes keeps those attributes even when the indicator is over the mailbox or email in question.

These might need STARTTLS explicitly disabled in the msmtp config file though

A user reports notifications not working on their setup because there is
no display id  contained in the `ps`/`pgrep` output  concerning the Xorg
process.

This commit checks if there's a display server running at all, and if so
it sends notifications even if there's no display id.
